How to identify crews and contractors who work for Bluebonnet

Identifying Bluebonnet employees and contractors
At Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, we prioritize the safety and security of our members. If you ever feel uncertain about someone at your home or business, it’s important to take action in ensuring your safety. Our goal is to keep you informed about the work being done.
Bluebonnet and contractor crews work across the 14-county service area to ensure safe and reliable power for all members. These crews may be trimming trees, clearing land, inspecting, repairing or replacing equipment, building new power lines and restoring power during outages.
All Bluebonnet employees and contractors are required to follow specific protocols to ensure they are easily identifiable.
Marked vehicles
Bluebonnet vehicles are white with logos displayed prominently on the side.
The vehicles range from half-ton trucks to large bucket and digger trucks.
Contractor vehicles display both Bluebonnet's and company logos.

Uniforms
Bluebonnet’s employees and contractors wear easily identifiable uniforms,
varying depending on the type of work being performed.

When in doubt, call us
Contact a Bluebonnet member service representative at 800-842-7708 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to verify if the person and the work being done at your home or business is legitimate. If after hours, call 911 or your local law enforcement agency.
Scheduled and emergency work
Planned maintenance work is scheduled in advance with crews. We make every effort to notify our members ahead of time via text, phone or in-person visits. Representatives will also leave door hangers if they need to access the property. However, during emergencies such as storms or power outages, crews may need to work at any time of the day or night without prior notice.
Stay vigilant and trust your instincts. If something seems off or you feel unsure, it’s always better to ask and verify with us.
