What does it mean to belong to a cooperative?
Bluebonnet is a nonprofit distribution cooperative. This type of co-op buys electricity from wholesale providers, arranges for its transmission and distributes the power to members through the co-op's power lines.
This unique form of business comes an array of member benefits, including capital credits, leadership elections and opportunities for establishing a long and prosperous career with Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
At Bluebonnet, we have a strong connection to the communities we serve. We offer annual scholarships and government youth tours, and we give back to nonprofit organizations through volunteerism, sponsorships and LCRA’s Community Development Partnership Program. Our employees live and work in the communities we serve, but we also have community representatives to serve as your connection to the co-op.
