2025 Scholarship of Excellence application Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will award $2,500 Scholarships of Excellence to eligible high school seniors graduating in the 2024-25 school year who will attend junior college, college or trade and technical school. Tip: We recommend completing this application on a computer, and drafting your responses in a separate document before completing the online application Eligibility requirements and application process To be considered for a Bluebonnet scholarship, the applicant must: • Be a senior of a high school or an accredited Home Extended Studies program who is graduating in the 2024-25 school year • Reside in the home of a parent or legal guardian who is a current Bluebonnet member with an active account and whose primary residence is within Bluebonnet’s service area • Provide a copy of your current high school transcript with class size, ranking and grade point average (GPA) through the latest semester completed • Submit a completed 2025 Bluebonnet Scholarship of Excellence application online, by 5 p.m. March 7, 2025 If you have questions about the application, please contact Sherry Murphy by email or 979-966-8062. Student application judging criteria All completed applications will be reviewed and verified by Bluebonnet’s Scholarship Committee. All applications and attachments become the property of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and will not be returned. Scholarship payment If selected as a Scholarship of Excellence recipient, you will be notified on or before April 7, 2025. The $2,500 scholarship will be paid in one lump sum to the financial aid, scholarship or business office of the recipient’s chosen school in July 2025 and applied to the recipient’s school account. Scholarship recipients will be asked to attend one of Bluebonnet's award ceremonies which will be scheduled between April 15 and May 10.
