Training for the future

In 2004 Bluebonnet recognized the need for a larger workforce who can help us keep the lights on for our members. In order to meet this need, we started a unique and mutually beneficial program for local members of our communities. The lineman apprentice program accepted its first class that year, and has only continued to grow and progress.

This training has allowed us to stay consistent with our service, even as our membership numbers grow significantly since the program started. We are able to hire, train, and employ individuals who work for our members and understand the value we place on safety and service.

We are proud of the work that we have done as a cooperative to stay up to date with our growing membership and we know how important it is to invest in our communities in our service area.

The application for the internship-to-apprentice program opens in the spring for each new class. Make sure to check our website and social media for announcements on when that application period opens.

If you have additional questions about this program, please contact us.
